I just started year 12 sixth form & picked psychology biology and geography, I'm thinking of changing geography because it's too boring and hard even though it's been 1 lesson. Has anyone that's done any of the subjects I noted and find it hard or easy with the new spec? And how do you stay on top of everything and do well? I'm so so so scared of failing as there are no more resits in a level now.

I take both biology and psychology new spec as well as sociology and have completed my first year of them. They are hard but as long as you make sure you understand everything as you go along in the year and if you don't understand something do the extra work and/or ask your teachers for help then that will make it so much easier when it comes to revising it for exams, especially at the end of the second year when you have to memorise it all (not looking forward to that). They are hard but not impossible, I managed to get AAA at the end of last year without that much cramming before hand because I stayed on top of the work and topics. Biology was the hardest but the chances are if you are finding it hard so are many others and it's likely the grade boundaries will be low if the paper is hard. If you don't enjoy geography then consider changing to another subject though. Sorry for rambling

[Also make sure you make the most out of your free periods as if you get your homework done then you can do any extra work at home and still have a social life

Thanks for your advice! And I heard that because we do exams in year 13 we can't resit year 12 if we fail AS so we have to start year 12 all over again once we finish year 13 opposed to resiting year 12 before year 13 like
    They previously done

AS doesn't count towards A2. Therefore you don't need to resit year 12 you just resit the A2 exams.
