I am currently in the A2 year of college, and am planning to apply for English Language and Linguistics at various universities. However, I am worrying that because I may have chosen two so called 'easier' or less respected A Levels, I may fail to get into a well respected uni. The subjects I currently take are:

    A2 English Language
    A2 Media Studies
    A2 Communication and Culture

The Universities I am currently interested in are Sheffield and Birmingham - with a few others. I am also predicted three A's for the year, but don't know if they will actually mean anything during the application process for these uni's.

    I would appreciate any help/feedback!

I don't see anything wrong with your A-levels as they all work nicely together.

Your best bet is to phone up the admissions team for that uni and just ask them whether your A-levels will be enough to be considered a place.

    Best of luck!
