    Hello,

I was just wondering whether you can get offers from universities even if your teacher predicted grades were below the entry requirements.

For example, some of the courses I am interested in are looking for A*AA, but if my teachers were to predict me to get AAA would it still be likely for me to get an offer from these unis.

    Thanks for any help

Yes, you could still get an offer but it's largely depending on university/course.
    It could go two ways:
    - Either they offer you their required grades and expect you to achieve them because they really liked your personal statement
    - Or they lower the grades for you to match your predicted
It's not all lost if your predicteds don't match the requirements.

If your form teacher predicts you AAA, ask her can you change my predicted grade to A*AA because u want to go to this UNI, she should allow you because you would be a good student with As. explain her your situation, she should understand.

My friend was predicted BBB and he asked form tutor to change it to AAB to go to a certain uni,. he worked his arse off and got AAB. most teachers will allow you to do that depending if you behave well in class ( this includes attendance, punctuality and being respectful to teachers)

It's difficult to tell but it's worth applying and finding out if you're set on the uni.

    Hello,

I was just wondering if teachers predicted grades were lower than the entry requirements to a university course that I'm applying to, am I still able to get an offer from a uni??

For example, if my teachers were to predict me AAA but the course I was looking to apply to were A*AA, what would the chances of getting offer be?

    Thanks for any help
I believe that it will reduce your chances but it won't be impossible. It really depends on the university.

Depends on the course and uni. If they are both really conpetitive then they're most likely to have a cut off. So I would try and look somewhere else and not waste space on ucas.

Your chances are obviously reduced, but there is no reason not to try this with one or perhaps two of your choices. Note that if you receive an offer it will almost certainly be the standard one (eg A*AA) so you would then have to decide whether to accept it given that they might not accept you should you fall short on results day.
