Am I capable of achieving a 2:1 for my degree?

I'm studying a degree in Music and I have just finished my 3rd year with an overall of 57.9 and 120 credits.

3rd year counts towards 30% of my overall degree and 4th year is 70%

Do I stand a good chance of getting a 2:1 next year?

Are you sure about that weighting? 4 year courses are generally 2/3/3.

As for your question you need 60% to get a 2:1
Currently you have
57.90.3=17.37[br]/Rightarrow6017.37=42.63[br]/Rightarrow42.63/0.7=60.957.9*0.3=17.37[br]/Rightarrow 60-17.37=42.63[br]/Rightarrow 42.63/0.7 =60.9

Therefore if you get 60.9% this year you will get a 2:1
75.2% will get you a first.
