I'm looking for a job this year while I'm at uni, but I'm wondering what other employed students do once the holidays come around?
I'd want to go home for Christmas, and I live too far to commute back for work. It seems ridiculous to only work for a month or two and then leave, but I don't want to spend my Christmas unable to go home. It's not like I could just take a few weeks off in the busiest period of the year either.

I know it's a really stupid question and I'll probably just have to suck it up and work through the holidays, but what do other students in this situation do?

Care work, or some other 0 hours contract. Generally care is really easy to dip in and out of.

You could always get a seasonal job at home, that way you're free to study full time and then make extra in the christmas periods and in the summer
