I think Lager is beer. Ale and larger are just different types of beer. One is top fermented and the other is bottom fermented (I think lager is bottom).

There are two major forms of beer: Lager and Ale.

Ale uses a top-fermenting barley yeast and is subdivided into Pale, Brown, Stout&Porter, Belgian, German and Cream Ales.

Lager. meanwhile, has been brewed in Germany for over 500 years. It is stored for several weeks before serving and uses lighter malts.

There are countless brands of each, but if you want to know whether a specific drink is lager or beer, just ask.

youd like to help me out and tell me lol

Well it's really simple. Larger is a synonym for bigger. Beer is an alcoholic beverage.

Indeed, lager is beer. However in the common parlance, sometimes 'beer' is used to mean ale, in opposition to lager. For example, if you asked for a 'beer shandy' as opposed to a 'lager shandy' in a pub, you'd expect to get ale.

LMAO!

Lager is fizzy and golden.

Beer (or Ale) is brown, still and thicker. It comes in versions such as Bitter, Smooth and Light.

Thats the jist of it.

Young people tend to prefer lager because its a fizzy, light drink.
Older people tend to prefer beer, which bloats you quicker and is quite a heavy drink.

Also, lager is pasteurised and filtered to remove yeast, whereas real ale is left in its natural state. This means that lager will last longer, but loses a lot of the taste, variance and character that a real ale retains.

I don't find real ale at all bloating as it's generally flat, or at least more so than lager?
