What was the point of commemorating 9/11?

The families and friends of those who died care quite a bit.

Then there's the small fact that 9/11 did, directly or indirectly, trigger sweeping change with regard to military action in the M.E. and a restriction of various civil liberties at home.


In the US, maybe, but not here. But then it was long ago now, it should have less relevance.
