    Hi guys,

I recently found out that I have been discontinued from my Adult Nursing Cohort and I was just wondering if anyone had any experience/knowledge or information they could advise me on as I'm in proper bits that I can't continue on the degree I loved.

Whenever I started last Sept (2015), I was taking medication for depression which was well under control. Although due to the stresses of the course (and moving overseas to England for University) I begun to miss placement days etc, just to anxiety that was just forever taking over my life during the year.

It doesn't help that I was assaulted in the city centre in March which made my anxiety worse. I had a couple of meetings with cohort leaders etc but they never knew the extent of my anxiety

Basically, because I missed my retrieval placement etc, the assessment board has discontinued me from the programme. I CANNOT appeal on health or finance problems so they've basically said no chance at redoing the year or anything.

I'm content enough not going back to that particular University (because of the structure of their nursing programme) I'm just wondering do I stand a chance if I apply to another university via UCAS for Year one entry in 2017?

I can't comment on the likelihood of you successfully reapplying, but if you did secure an offer you would certainly have to prove to occupational health that your mental health was now better managed and improving!
