I'm due to start at the University of Kent but have had a major change of heart/mind and feel as if I have made a mistake by not accepting one of my other offers, the other university in topic starts on the 26th, do you think it is worth calling them regarding this?

Also I've agreed student accommodation at Kent so there is that issue too.

You need to make sure its a change you want.
Then contact the other uni to see if the place is still open
Then contact Kent and fo through the withdrawal procedure.
You will also need to contact accommodation to know whether you cna just cancel, whether theres a penalty clause and eventually what forms you need to complete. It shouldnt be a problem.
You then need to contact SFE to reroute your finance.

What course and uni? I'm thinking if it's a better regarded course and you like a certain module or something you can tell your parents like that?

Hard to say because you dont tell us much about the course or your reasons for changing or your parents. Would strict mean they would disapprove and if so why?
Do they want you to be happy?

You are an adult now, so will they have to like it and lump it?

As said above you should emphasise.

    1. Its what you wish to do.
    2. How good or helpful it will be for your career.
    3. Why the new place is a better one to study at.
    4. How you realised you would be unhappy at the other place.

Cant say more than that, if you present it as
fait accompi, then they cant do much although no idea what retaliation might come such as cutting finance or being miserable.
