i did gcse english literature in 2014 edexel and got a c in it, does that count as a english gcse beacuse it did not before , now they made it so english literature counts as gcse english but what i am asking is does my old grade count as gcse english now or is it only for new spec english literature

English Literature counts as a GCSE, however, if you mean do you have the much talked about 'required C' in English then no - that is English Language.
