Right, so I am strongly considering re doing year 12 for a number of reasons such as, I hate the school i am currently in, they don't teach very well and I'm honestly not happy at all! I feel like moving would be the best option for me and I dont feel like I'm going to do well this year, so id rather just do an extra year. However, I want to know (this may seem petty but its a genuine question) is it a weird thing to redo a year and going to uni at 19 or is that sort of normal??

It's not a weird thing to redo year 12, but I think it's too early to decide, it's only September!

It's normal, I know a lot of people who are re-doing year 12 this year, you shouldn't let that influence your choice tho.

Please don't be weary about stuff like that. You'll look back and you'll be happy that you did things properly than rushing into things and not getting into a good university. I'm repeating year 12 right now, although it's a bit weird I'm back to the happy Faith I once was. New friends, new enviroment and most importantly a better work ethic.

Couldn't you just move to a different school now rather than retake a whole year?
It's definitely not abnormal to retake a year though, you'll find at uni everyone is all different ages and quite frankly no one will care what your age is.
