I searched the forums and apparently there already was a few threads about J-pop before, but they're all pretty much dead now...

Just checking to see if there's any interest in this genre of music now. I like J-pop primarily because the music shifts me into happy, hyper mode.

Favourites include:
Ayumi Hamasaki
Aikawa Nanase (more J-Rock, yeah, but still has a pop quality to her)
Erika Sawajiri (more known for her role in the drama series One Litre of Tears)
Goto Maki
Hitomi Shimatani
JYONGRI
Melon Kinenbi
Mika Nakashima
Minimoni
misono
Morning Musume
OLIVIA

Well, this seems like a whopping great success

I'll give it another chance by writing this and bumping it to the top.
Please do not take this as interest, I merely felt sorry for you :p:

I'm more into J-rock and J-metal than the pop side, but there are a fair few bands I like:

Ellegarden
Little by Little
Shocking Lemon
Beats crusaders
Flow
Orange range
Asian kung fu generation
Dir en grey
Wolf mother
Electric eel shock
X/ X Japan
Buggy Craxone

Depends on your taste really, but most of those I mentioned in the first post come highly recommended from me. :p:
