I have just entered my third year of my psychology degree, and am now at the stage where I need to decide what I want to do. I have been researching programmes such as Think Ahead, and Frontline, and these schemes seem really good. I love that a bursary covers the Masters training, and you're also paid for your two years in training. These two schemes are for social work. I know there are also programmes like this for accountancy, but I was wondering if anyone had heard of any others in fields which help people, such as counselling. I've done so much research and can't seem to find any others!

I can't think of anything specificially counselling based but CharityWorks jumps up as a good one for someone interested in helping others. Also maybe consider the Civil Service Fast Stream, National Graduate Development Scheme (for local government) and NHS Graduate Management Scheme, all ultimately are about providing a service to help others rather than generating profit.
