Hi I'm soon joining uni, and I'm so excited for freshers to party and meet everyone new. But I'm wondering, after freshers week is over, how much partying and getting drunk is there when it's over, does it calm down and become more of a routine life or does it carry on 3/4 nights a week?

    Hello ,

It depends on you and the group of people you hang around with. In all my experiences I've never heard of anyone going out 3/4 nights a week - that's way too much considering you are meant to be studying as well.

Generally after Freshers everything does calm down and people go out probably 2 times a week because as I said, it calms down. A routine sets in with lectures and studying so it's too much to go out that much and it'd wreck your finances. However, even though I've never heard of it, if that was the decision you and your friends made then cool but it'd be the worse idea I've ever heard.

    Best of luck

Okay that's good to hear thank you as much as I love to go out and party, the idea of getting in a routine life with work and living etc has actually grown on me as it's gotten closer to moving, so that's good news

in the first year we went out 3 sometimes 4 nights a week but we as mos of our lectures started at 9 or 10 it was not a huge problem as long as you can make it out to your lectures (always could) it's all good the first year doesn't count anyway.
