    If I watch Iplayer etc abroad on a VPN without a license can I get caught? I don't have a TV license at all

    The BBC haven't said if or how they can enforce the TV license. My feeling is that there will be a grace period and then they will either get you to register (with TV license number) or start prosecuting IP addresses that contravene.

    Doubt it.

    Go with a VPN that doesn't keep logs and make sure it doesn't keep logs.

    Note: All free VPNs keep logs, they may say they don't, but they do.
