Music or Computer Science

    • Thread Starter

    I'm at a bit of a dilemma.

I'm currently working towards my grade 8 piano which I take in November. I am also hoping to achieve grade A in Music Tech, B in Economics and C in Maths for A levels.

I'm not entirely sure what course to take for uni let alone which uni to go to. Now, I'm under the impression I've got an advantage if I took music related subject however I've been told going down the music route in uni limits my chances elsewhere if I fail to get into the business. That's why I've been thinking about computer science as it links in well to music technology and I could maybe find it easier finding other jobs with a computer science degree rather than music technology.

The thing is I feel like it would be wrong for me to go for the computer science degree as I'd be wasting the work I've put into my music altogether. I'm starting to feel the pressure as deadlines near and I guess I need some input on what I should do. If you have any recommendations of uni's or what I should do please let me know. It could really help me understand.
