I Just moved into my studio flat for my second year a university and am already loving it more than halls. I'm living in a studio for my own reasons, manly because I couldn't find anyone to live with but I like having my own space.

Anyway the problem is that none of my friends on my course asked me where I was living fir 2nd year during 1st year. If they ask me when I see them this year I don't know what to say as if I tell them I'm living alone I'm worried that they will think I'm weird.

What should I do? hopefully they won't ask me

Just tell them truth if they ask. If they find it weird or treat you differently/badly because of it then they're not very nice people and you probbaly shouldn't want to be friends with them anyway.

I know of several people who chose to live on their own because hey prefer their own space. I don't find them weird. Heck if I could afford it I'd probably get my own place to since I don't really know my current housemates and have no friends to move in with this year.

plenty of people like studios because flatmates tend to be slobby, messy, steal your food, keep you awake, cause drama + arguments etc - if you don't act like it's weird, it won't be weird

How did living in a studio in your second year go for you? I'm looking into it for my second year, as far away as it is, because I do like my own space
