Panicing

Okay, I'm on the pill and sleeping with my boyfriend. We usually use condoms, but sometimes we don't (although when we don't, I always make him pull out before anyway, just to be on the safe side, even though I'm on the pill anyway).
Basically, my periods are fairly average I'd say, not too heavy, but definately not light. I was supposed to come on on Wednesday, and I have sort of. But it's nowhere near as heavy as it usually is.
Surely this can't mean I'm pregnant? I know that sometimes you can miss a period, or have lighter ones, but it's still bugging me.
Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm just paranoid!

first of all, glad you're on the pill because 'pulling out' is completely useless!

erm...could just be an anomaly. but obviously the only way to realllly tell is to do a test. have you told your boyfriend of your worries?

Thanks for the reply. I thought that if you were pregnant, you just missed a period completely, rather than having a light one? The other thing is, because I was on holiday when I was meant to come on, I took the pill for an extra week. Could this have caused it?

ah yes. that could have a lot to do with it. so don't worry yourself too much! like i say, you can only be sure with a test but it seems unlikely.

and most miss their period altogether but a few (seriously unlucky!) people continue to have periods throughout their pregnancy. that's rare though.

Thanks, I honestly don't think I'm pregnant or anything, because I'm still getting the cramps I usually get! It just shook me a bit, because usually my periods are the same each time. I think I just needed someone else to say that to me
I really wouldnt worry about it..the chance of you being pregnant is pretty low as long as you haven't missed any pills etc. If you're still really worried then take a pregnancy test to be on the safe side
It's almost certainly fine, and to do with running two packs together. I do that all the time, because it's easier, and sometimes that happens. Of course do a test if it will put your mind at ease (have done that many times too!!) but really stop stressing about this
