Currently year 13 just started, taking Maths, Physics, Chem A level and Further Maths AS. I want to do something like chemical engineering, general engineering or chemical physics at uni as a degree, I think but going to apply in my gap year so still have time to decide.

Last year, I did the maths A2 in the further maths class but didnt revise for any of my exams aside the morning of due to various factors so will have to retake basically all of the modules this year.

Started this year wanting to continue with Further Maths in the class, as I really enjoy it and it is more challenging than normal maths lessons and it would be an advantage applying to university. However, I realise that 4 a levels is difficult to succeed in as well as have a life in Year 13, so I decided to do the AS Further Maths instead of the A level even though I really wanted to do the A level.

It's 2 weeks in, I am mega behind on all my subjects as did no AS revision/notes and work over the summer etc and massively on further maths as I did not do anything over summer as didn't even think I would be able to retake AS levels. After going to a few open days, and looking at the grades needed I feel like this year taking all the A2 exams and AS exams again in just Maths physics and chemistry is going to be hard work especially catching up with all the AS I have no notes on, a further maths AS might ruin any chances of me getting the grades I could and getting into university. I know I should drop it but I really really like it and it makes me stand out when applying to uni? Feel like I am capable of doing the FM A level, understand content decently enough, but without dropping other subjects I wouldn't have the time to do well in all 4. Can someone reassure me I should drop it otherwise all my grades will suffer?

Cant believe I'm actually resorting to TSR and whinging in some long para but ik my fam thinks I cant do it all in the time and maybe ik really that I need to just drop it?!!! Ready for the savage abuse
