I want to look into what teaching opportunities are available for 2017 entry. I noticed that the website doesn't open into middle of October. I'm not interested in applying this year, but I will be next year. How do people know what opportunities / unis/ schools are available before the website opens? I know I definitely can't see 2018 entries but let's just pretend it was this time next year.

I am asking this since I know it is first come first serve basis so I'd rather not spend time looking into placements when the apply opens. I'd rather look into these placements before apply opens so when it does open, I can quickly apply .

I hope this makes sense haha.

September 27th, UCAS will open for 2017 entry.
October 18th, UCAS opens for applications.

Apply this year and defer for next?

There's a FB group for applicants for 17/18 entry.

Can't really apply for this year. Haven't got much experience, do not feel prepared for the interviews or the skills tests so on 27th, ucas will show all the available options?

    Everyone is in your position...
Apply before 2017 and tell them that you've booked the skills test for a month away and that you've arranged a voluntary placement/paid job and you'll be fine. Paid jobs can include TA/Cover Supervisor/Agency cover teachers.

On the 27th UCAS will open all of 2017 entry's available courses to browse. You won't be able to apply until October 18th.
