I'm currently in Year 11 and I was wondering if anyone knew any tips on firstly,
How to revise English (mindmaps don't work for me) and secondly, if anyone had any tips on how to get the top grades? Like certain things to cover?
I'm generally goo at the other subjects (A/A*) and I don't want my English grade to bring it down.
I am taking the new GCSE so I know not many people have an idea on the mark scheme but if anyone knows any tricks that are fool-proof I'd love to know!
Thankyou to anyone who replies!
Also the books I'm studying in Lit are:
Lord of the Flies
Frankenstein
Macbeth
And the Power and Conflict poems
Thankyou!

I would suggest using Mr Bruff on the techniques you can use to answer the questions on the new spec and get a higher grade
And also read through the books again and again to pick out quotes

I also love Mr Bruff so I make notes on his videos and make flash cards with the main characters/themes in the books. Poetry just keep writing out and analysing quotes without looking at the poem and make a comparison chart so you know which poems you'll compare with which. I'm also in year 11 btw
oh, and make sure you consider structure, form and language
