A briefcase would be slightly strange I think.

Reply 2

Probably what I use for school, a shoulder bag.

Oh God, I thought I had escaped the dreaded 'backpack' period. :frown:

Not until you have a degree and are earning big bucks (pounds or whatever).

Hopefuly just a A4 pad, pen and bottle of water to lectures (my lips get dry quickly you see).

I don't think you'll survive if you take a briefcase

Get a shoulder bag, but not one of those ones with a large chest strap over your front *shudders*. Ultimate cool is to not use a bag at all.

i have these great trousers with about 9 pockets + they don't look stupid when you have tonnes of stuff in them either (you kno how some pockets have no practical purpose + just look silly when they have something in)- it means i can just carry a folder. at uni i'llprobably carry on with my college bag- just a normal shoulder bag.

On the subject of unusual ways of carrying things...does anyone else have the little rubber head phone hole in their bag?? This is probably the greatest invention of all time!!! You can keep your prefered music player in your bag and listen without having to carry it!!!

(Is also usefull when you dont want people to know that you are listening to music - e.g. during maths)

oooh that does sound a good idea. or you can just use a hoody with a front pocket and have the headphones going inside your top. that's what i do in maths.

Generally not in favour of the hoddy idea!!! The up inside the clothes one is a good one though and I use that one for History. Although my teacher has grown wise so I shall have to think of another plan to obtain musical bliss in class!!!

I once had a cap-radio. That would have been ideal for drowning out boring lectures.

would it b really sad to carry a cotton shoulder bag with the uni coat of arms on? if it was done with raggedy boho style?

Reply 13

I'm not planning on going to many lectures myself! But having said that I reckon I'll be using my rucksack. I ain't embarrassed to be carrying it ( a nice quicksilver one bought out of my pocket money a couple years back!), and it's convenient and large enough to fit a lever arch folder. Or I may just carry a file and pen. Apparently you get lecture notes each lesson and just tend to write notes on those...but i guess it depends on your own particular style etc etc.

I so can't wait till uni!!!!!!!!!

Yeh i know what you mean. By the last term of school i got so impatient i missed most of my lessons and went down to Coffee Republic instead. I found it very frustrating having to sit in school when it was really of no use anymore at all (well it seemed that way anyway)
