Hi, I am a year twelve student now and have been considering Cambridge University since year eleven, however i did not take the possibility of me actually attending such a high class university too seriously, as a result I didn't do very well in my GCSEs. I got one A*, two As, four Bs and three Cs. I know they're pretty *****y but i have recently convinced my self that i will achieve at least three A*s in my A -levels and at least one A in AS. So my question to you is if i do obtain these results and with my previous GCSE results kept in regards will i stand a realistic chance of receiving an offer from Cambridge University?

As long as your AS' are good, they don't generally mind your GCSEs being low, as it shows you're improving. However, you'll need >1 A at AS, preferably with the three most relevant subjects to your degree being >90% UMS for a good chance.
