    Hey,

Just moved in the other day and it turns out the "combi-microwave oven" that they advertised on their website is actually a Microwave Grill, it doesn't have a built in oven.

I was under the impression that a combi-microwave oven was at the very least a microwave and an oven built into one, is this not the case?

I've phone them up and let them know but they tried to tell me that was normal, I've told them that's not the case and they've forwarded the issue to the property manager but I think they're going to tell me I'm stuck with it.

Is there anything I can do if that happens?

    Thanks

It's hard to say some are microwave oven and standard oven combinations, some also have grills. The best thing to do is look up the make and product number up online and see what it says it is.

Is it possible that your accommodation advert stated it had a microwave oven (which is what a standard microwave is really called) with a grill, and you assumed that meant microwave, oven and grill?

Yes. I had a combi microwave oven in my kitchen in halls and it had both in one, you pressed one button for the microwave and another for the oven, cooked just as well as a convention oven.
