Hi,I want to apply for Southampton Geography, their entry requirements : AAA-AAB. My AS : Distinction* - A -B - B. A2 predicted grades - A - B - B. Question is, should I bother applying or will they just laugh and it will be a wasted application ? Thank you,Lee

Apply anyway, but don't set your heart on it. Ensure your other choices are more reasonable. And remember that if you do get an offer it's most likely to be AAA so you need to be sure you can meet that.

You could try calling up the uni to talk to them.

If you have a really stand out Personal Statement then they certainly won't just "laugh" at you ...but as Juno says you should aim to meet their requirements.

There are always things like adjustment and clearing but for now just work on that personal statement. We've got loads of advice articles (things like how to write an excellent personal statement) if you want to check them out.
