My boyfriend was sent an email about some fieldwork that he has to go on in 2 weeks time. None of the course know what this fieldwork is for since they thought all the fieldwork has been completed now. They have been told they need a sleeping back and was told where they will be staying. It has no information if they are having a room or if they are camping. Is it wrong for a university to make students go camping?

Sorry if its in the wrong forum, doesnt seem to fit in any of the others

You need to get in touch with the uni asap and work out what is going on, what is going to happen and what you need to do. It's a bit strange that no one knows what is going on.

Ask the uni, but I'd imagine the answer is either they're not going camping or they'd have to have a medical reason why they can't go camping.

they always tell them at last minute about trips, last Easter they told them a week before Easter holidays that they weren't allowed an Easter break because of trips and half the class needed mitigating circumstances because of flights/trains home and things
