I've recently got myself a part-time job and I've just been emailed my hours, I start on Friday but I have a wedding on Saturday and I'm not sure how to tell my manager that I'm not going to be able to work that day/if I should even go to the wedding since it'll only be my second day

Have you decided what to do yet? Personally, I'd talk to the manager and ask if it was possible to get Saturday off for the wedding and apologise for not bringing it up sooner
