I've recently got myself a part-time job and I've just been emailed my hours, I start on Friday but I have a wedding on Saturday and I'm not sure how to tell my manager that I'm not going to be able to work that day/if I should even go to the wedding since it'll only be my second day

Id get in touch as soon as possible to say that you wont be able to work it.
It may not look the best, seeing as you are only just starting though.
