So i am from south asia and i am a mature student. I am 25 and have planned to apply at UK universities.
But there is a slight issue where i need advice on.
I have recently changed my name. My school marksheets have my previous name. Though i have the affidavits for that, the issue is my passport.
My passport was issued to me 6 years ago and has my nickname on it. It doesnt have my old name on it and as i just changed my name and considering how time consuming the process of reissue of passport is (and i have to apply for the january 17 intake) i decided to leave the passport matter.

So i was wondering how i should apply for the universities. Since the copy of passport is required, should i use the name on my passport and if i am able to secure the admission and visa, then change my name in the UK or is there any other way?

I mean my passport has my nickname. My school certificates have my old name as i changed my name a few weeks ago.
So should i apply using the name on the passport? Or with my new name?

Why does your passport have a nickname on.
It should either have your old name (Same name as on your birth certificate) or your new name
