Hey, sorry you're feeling so down. Starting uni can be difficult. There's nothing wrong with you, you're just having a hard time. Try to put yourself out there a little if you can so you feel less lonely. Maybe spend some time doing your room up to feel more homely if you're living at uni. Look into what events or societies are out there and might interest you.
If you feel like you need some support or if it's not just since you started uni that you've been feeling down, talk to student support or a doctor. They can help a lot and it's better to see somebody sooner so you can cut it off beore it gts worse.

Also, I know that drinking is part of life, especially at uni, and I'm not going to suggest that you totally stop, but just remember not to use it as a crutch or to numb pain or lonelieness. Alcohol exacerbates any emotions you have so if you're feeling down, it will just make you feel worse.

Good luck getting out there and feeling more comfortable.
Btw mind.org has some good resources on feeling down and things like that so check it out if you want.
