Just editing my personal statement and I am unsure about whether to use the word has or have.

I won't copy the exact sentence cuz of plagiarism, but ill write a similar example.

The fusion of two things has/have completed this.

Is the word has/have referring to the singular word fusion or the plural word things.

    Thanks.
