    Over the course of a year I have managed to save just under £2000 from my part time job, do you think this is a good amount?

    Depends what for, a first car yes, a house deposit no.
    But overall that is pretty impressive for a student

    it depends on what you want to do and what you did to earn it
    as say for a nice watch or an average car then that's good but towards say a house downpayment or a wedding fund it's far off
