Does De Montfort University still apply most of its halls as same sex gendered flats? If someone does opt to live in mixed gender flat early, will they usually get it? Also, why does De Montfort hold this as a majority rule when most other universities apply mixed gender dorms?
I only ask because I am hoping to book accommodation when it reopens in 2017 and would much rather prefer to live in a mixed gender flat. If anyone is asking the question as to why, it is purely down to the fact I think I'd get along much better living in community with both boys and girls. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind whatever happens really, but I have always been someone who gets on well with groups of boys and girls, rather than solely just one gender.
