    Far too vague a description.

I've only been to Manchester and Liverpool out of this list but in terms of which city I prefer for vibe, enjoyment etc - it would have to be Manchester.

There are more than 4 cities in England - all of those are too big and impersonal for me.

Do you know that saying about being tired of London means you're tired of life? :naughty:

    Manchester obviously
The Smiths, Oasis, Vimto, Alan Turing and the very peculiar Anthony Burgess. ..
London is great and all but its way too busy and expensive

Out of those options I would say Birmingham (if there were more options then I probably wouldn't select it). I'm probably biased because I've lived in Birmingham for a year now.

Obviously like any city there are desirable and undesirable areas, Birmingham certainly has its fair share and there aren't many unique attractions (apart from maybe Cadbury World and Spaghetti Junction) for such a massive city. I do however really like the canals, the huge number/variety of parks, New Street is now a really attractive train station, there's rich diversity and Birmingham has a lot going for it commercially.

London is extortionately expensive for anything (accommodation, nightlife, tourist attractions), inhabits too many people, has too many tall buildings etc. Haven't really experienced much of Liverpool and Manchester other than attending football matches.

Blasphemy! It's the best city in Europe (I voted for Birm accidently :sigh:).

    It is outrageously expensive tho.

London hands down. If Bristol had been on the option list I would've said that.

I've lived near Manchester my whole life and it's a filthy crap hole.

I've only been to Birmingham once, and I was only 4.

    Never been to Liverpool.
