    To be fair, "suffrage" isn't really a word you hear much, and I would imagine less so in North America. I don't think we should mock people because they don't have an extensive vocabulary of little used terms.
    However, what is inexcusable is to not spot that "suffrage" isn't "suffering", and to ask for an explanation.

    They've obviously picked the best responses from the students. Amongst any large enough group of students, you'll find people like those.
