These are all very personal questions which only you can work out by doing a bit of thinking, work experience and research. Good luck!

I'm changing from Pharmacy to Nursing, but that was after gaining enough work experience in each to feel comfortable with making that decision. Each career path has its own merits, so it's very tricky for me to be able to give you a straight-forward answer!

In essence, I found that I wanted more patient interaction. I found Pharmacy pretty difficult and wasn't really enjoying it as I felt there was so much focus on research and very detailed science. I was doing well enough to pass but I didn't enjoy the work experience I did (was in multiple places so I couldn't just blame it on the pharmacy) and absolutely loved the two weeks I spent shadowing nurses in A&E. I know that the salary and working hours are worse if I change, but I have prioritised a job that I would actually want to go to when I wake up in the morning (or night if I have night shift!)
