Bad A-level combination?

    • Thread Starter

    Hello there!

I am currently a year 12 student who is taking the following AS/A Levels:

    English Lit AS: (b)
    Math AS: (c)
    German AS: (a) German A level (a*) - predicted
    Business AS (a) Business A level (a*) - predicted
Econ AS (a) Econ A level predicted (a*) - predicted

As you will notice, I am taking German, Economics and Business at A2. However, recently I have been reading several uni blogs which all had implied what a terrible, terrible idea it is to combine business with economics. Is it certain that I will be rejected from most Economics programs now, especially the Russel Group programs?

I'd have a look at entry requirements and if you meet them you'll be fine.

Imo drop eng lit and business, maths econ and german is very strong, just make sure you do well on your maths.

Oh for sure, maybe even consider taking AS further maths if you are up to it. I doubt oxbridge and other high end russel group unis will even consider you without a full maths a level. Also having a language a level like german is really awesome and looks great.
