I wanted to ask whether studying psychology and sociology at Bradford 2017, will allow me to carry on and do a PGCE as the entry requirements are only CCC and applying for a pgce is quite competitive. When applying for a PGCE will t become a disadvantage.

What did you think of Bradford uni? I've applied and received an offer, obviously I'm still waiting for my other choices but was just wondering. Thanks

Just a curious question as to why that is? I read a little back that Bradford is now ranked 4th in Yorkshire behind York, Leeds Uni and Sheffield Uni. It is the highest non-RG in Yorkshire.

I'm applying for the PGCE now and I see people from lots of different undergraduate degree backgrounds at my interviews who have been offered places. I definitely don't think you're at a disadvantage. As long as you become familiar with the application process for PGCE because there are a lot of hurdles to jump. Also they are very big on school experience so make sure you do take on 1-2 placements throughout the years which should be linked to the age range you want to work with. Plus any additional interests or work with children is really good too.
