Very VERY few universities offer route B applications now even for art and design courses - which university/course are you applying to that has mentioned routeB? I've just had a quick search and I can't find any at the larger art schools.

Generally BA illustration applications will be made through route A (ie the standard UCAS application route) with all 5 choices added at once preferably before 15 January.

Foundation Diploma applications do NOT go through UCAS - you need to apply for those directly to universities/colleges.

That's what I thought originally! I just asked my art teacher and she said you need to apply using route B for foundation diplomas, however on the AUB website there is an apply page for their foundation course so Ill try and follow that when it becomes possible (when I clicks on the link nothing happens so I guess its not open for application yet?

It's pretty early to apply for foundation diplomas - most will open in October. I know for AUB if you apply for the BA Illustration through UCAS you'll be able to ring them up and they can duplicate that application to put you in for the foundation diploma without having to fill everything out twice
