    im going to edinburgh this sept.. and i have a sony t610.. but im international ..
    so i was thinking of getting a new phone..
    either the sony k700i or the treo600..

    is it ok to carry expensive phones or anything... will it get stolen..??

    No, as long as you're cautious...I don't know much about Edinburgh but I live in London and always have expensive phones, and have never once had a phone stolen. Just make sure you don't use it on trains or when you're on your own at night.

    this might sound silly, but what kinda phones do they nick?

    coz i got a *****y, nokia 3330 one...hopefully they wont take that??

    as long as its a phone, they'll try nicking it....even *****y ones can be sold...

    just make sure not to flash it about too much and don't text in the street or anything-all the usual...you should be fine with it as a lot of people have expensive phones and nothing happens. Its all about being sensible..

    well i live in liverpool which accourding to lots of people is a hot spot for theft and i use my phone all the time whenever wherever..however saying that a friend of mine did get attacked for his phone on a night out in liverpool..

    my brothers friend got his motorbike nicked in london when he just left it for like a few minutes..

    LOL! i got that one! it looks like a brick compered to all my friends phones...but im getting a new one, duno which though.

    my mates always take the piss out of it but i dont really care, 2 of them got their phones nicked going out i still havent

    I have a quie fancy phone (7250 - yeh its not brand new but its still fancy) and I text with it in the street, etc and nobody even looked at me as though they are thinking about it.
