Biology or travel and tourism?

anyones opinions on either subjects will be appreciated! i have recently been thinking about biology as ive been looking at courses to do with marine animals and marine sport science etc at uni so to do a science subject at college would help! Im not Amazing at it and think it looks hard so was wondering what your views are. Also Travel n tourism is the other option which i am intrested in.
Also ive wanted a career in the performing arts for ages now, and only recently ive become interersted in this marine area, so ive got 2 totally different career paths in my head! agh
Cheers guys

Well, I'd say definitely Biology since it'll help your career choices and is generally a well respected subject.

Travel and tourism...well....

:ditto: Biology probably is hard, but that's why it's well respected and it will help you if you decide to go down the science route. Travel and tourism is seen as a joke, so not the best subject to take if you want to go to uni, and it also has nothing to do with either of your 2 possible career plans.

I agree with the other repiles-definately go for Biology. Yes, it's hard, but it is a lot more respected than travel & tourism. And as kellywood_5 said, T&T isn't related to either of your plans, so definately go for biology.

Travel and Tourism is on the notorious A-Level "blacklist".

So definitely go for Biology.
Anyway, I'm thinking it's definitely more interesting? And I'm not even a sciencey person!

I did travel and tourism AS level and to be honest I was easily bored with it. People are saying choose Biology because it is more respected, but I would say choose which one which you think you will enjoy more. You are probably going to be doing this subject for 2 years so make sure you will be happy with the subject.

You should try and talk to teachers from each subject, they will give you a run down of what you will learn in the lessons.

take biology.

If you have any intention on studying Marine Science or something related to that, then you’ll need A-Level Biology.

Really, though, you need to think about which you will enjoy more and do better in, as well as which will allow you to achieve your future plans.

Biology!

As has been said, take biology! Travel and tourism is one of those non-subjects that I doubt you would need even if you wanted a career in Travel and Tourism..

Everyone on this forum will say biology, for the reasons stated above

Biology easier than travel & tourism?

Take biology. Biology is actually respected, and accepted by universities and employers alike.

T&T is under the same category as media studies and general studies in most people's eyes.

I'm a zoologist so obviously i'm gonna go for biology. Have you got any background knowlegde for Bio? Cause it could be quite hard to crash into.
Any questions about it i'll do my best to answer.
Oh, and avoid Travel and Tourism like the plague

biology may be hard but it more respected and interesting.

In my class we have one person that got a B at GNVQ and one person that got a C they are both looking at C this year after putting in a lot of hard work and say they don't find it that difficult as long as they put enough work in outside the lesson.

Surely that's true of any subject though?
