How old is she? I've found that a trip to the park, or 'making' something with my sister is always useful as a distraction...she's 11.

Give it a week...

That aside, distract her.

Take her to the cinema or something, or out for food, being out of the house and doing something fun will probably help

I'd definitely recommend making something too, especially if its a small project that'll take a few days to finish.

I recall making an entire miniature farm out of cardboard to cheer my sister up about something when she was younger.

Little projects that'll take some planning and imagination can be very distracting.

Aw, a little farm  I made a 'robot' with my sister to distract her, out of cardboard boxes, paper plates, paint, and pieces of wood. We also made a birdhouse together - maybe this would be effective because in a way, it's helping animals and might distract more from the kitten?

I'd advise keeping her distracted, we just recently sold our dog (which isn't the same situation obviously) but my younger brothers were upset so I just walked with them to them shops andlet get a few toys each to keep their mind off it. It did work though, so I suppose distracting your little sister would be the best option.

When my cat died at 11, a 'trip to the park' wouldn't distract me.

Unless of course they're pretty stupid...

Aww lol thats a good idea. Perhaps it would be an ideal time to teach her about death aswell. You can talk to her while making it. I cannot believe it was killed, I hate drivers like that, serious I would be angry and would be making a scene - it would be the last thing the driver did all day. How can people be so ****ing stupid? Kill a kitten? Ban the driver. Idiot

How did it die?
Perhaps take more care next time.
I'd so get a new one. :hugs:
