    here each reactant is first order.. so if we double the conc of each one alone the rate will also be doubled and if we double the concen of both together the rate will be x4 .. so in part B why is D the incorrect one , it makes sense :bawling:

    Iodine isn't in the rate equation, so doubling its concentration wouldn't affect the rate of reaction.

    oh oops i just noticed, thank you x.. but would it have been a correct answer if it was (H+) instead of iodine?

    Yes it would have been correct if it was [H+] instead of iodine.
