Army Officer Interview

    • Thread Starter

I am currently in the process of my application to become a helicopter pilot officer. The next stage in my process will be my first interview at my local AFCO. When I went in to discuss my application they informed me that I should be up to date with world affairs and said to be sure I'm reading a lot of newspapers.
Now my question is, although I do try to keep up to date with what's going on in the world I'm curious as to whether anybody else has experienced this and what topics I should ensure I'm well versed on. Obviously politics and conflicts will be something I should know about but would there be anything else I should maybe close closer attention to that may have slipped by me?
    Thank you in advance
