I find it much easier to talk to people after a few drinks, but I think I get even more boring than usual, can't win!

All parties have alcohol involved. As long as you arn't having 4 or 5 parties a week then its fine. I normaly have a drink every couple of weeks - havn't for ages now though.

I hate cider, it's disgusting...rather down a pint of vodka than a pint of cider.

I've got quite used to going out and not drinking because I'm often designated driver when I go clubbing with my mates. I don't like getting too out of control anyway because I make a fool of myself and regret it when I'm sober  From my experience it seems blokes have more problems than girls when it comes to needing alcohol to socialise (a generalisation I know, but true in my social circle at least). My boyfriend really struggles to talk to people he doesn't know well without a few drinks because he's quite shy, and guys in general aren't as adept as girls at constant random gossiping. When my girl friends and I go out, we usually have a few drinks but (mostly) remember everything the next day, whereas a lot of guys I know can't have a night out without ending up paralytic

Ive been thinking, and Ive come to realise that in the past 2 years, pretty much every social situation Ive been in has involved alcohol. Im starting to wonder if I can actually speak to people without the stuff..

Anyone else showing early signs of alcoholism?

I don't need it for every social situation. For me it’s just those times when you with those people who just bore you then I need alcohol just to make me feel better.

Youre probably as drunk as us guys, its just you require less drinks to get as drunk as us. So your couple of drinks is about 5/6 for us

Toffe Vodka or Vodka and Coke is nice though. If you want nasty then try a tacela slamer - burns your throat.

Even strongbow? It's one of the nicest drinks around! Vodka is nasty, even if it's diluted.
