I'd like to go into medicine so I'm planning on taking chemistry, biology and maths for A-level, but not sure about my fourth option to drop for AS. Would it hurt my chances of getting into medicine if I chose a 'softer' subject like psychology, or chose physics, which is similar to my other subjects? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Your 3 a levels are really good.

As for your fourth a level, I don't think it matters, so just pick something that you enjoy and will guarantee a high grade.

I picked Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Geography because I wanted an essay subject because I want to train my writing skills and wanted a diverse subject combination.

Did you find that whilst/while you're doing medicine that essay based subject helped at all?
