Trying to finish my first draft personal statement, how can I relate Brexit to an accounting and finance degree?

Or is there any other real life financial situation that I could link to this degree course.

    Thanks.....

You don't have to consider current affairs when doing your PS. Don't go looking for links as they are generally the most tenuous. Talk about your interests (e.g. reading etc.)

Really, I thought linking real life situations shows you're passion and desire for that degree?
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

Do you have any suggestions in which books I should read for this degree?

I'm not saying don't mention it (but focus on the theoretical links if you do), but don't go mentioning things with a tenuous link or if you don't fully understand it
