Postgraduate International (Latin American)

Hi! I just got an offer to do my LLM in Aberdeen starting January, but as I'm from the Dominican Republic I'm kind of clueless about some stuff.
First of all, what is the best place to live? Being a Postgraduate student I'm kind of done with all the freshers' action, but I do want to meet a lot of people, so I'm not sure if private accommodation is the best choice. I have checked and seen some private student buildings that have caught my attention that have their own studios, are these any good?
Second, how is student life at uni? How many international students are there? I'm a little worried because I will be starting my studies in January and not many people do, so maybe there are not going to be as many students around looking for people to hang with. I'm also wondering how many international students are there; I know it is awesome to live in another country and getting to meet people from there, however it's also so good to have at least someone that speaks your native language and has similar customs, so I'm wondering how many Spanish-speaking students will be around?

Which party will you be voting for in the General Election 2017?
