Swansea uni looks amazing, however the sport and exercise course is located on the Bay Campus which is relatively new. Is the new campus any good? I know the Singleton Park campus is meant to be amazing!

This is extremely difficult to answer and it might be best answered by some one staying there.
The Bay campus is a brand new campus and obviously the facilities lecture rooms etc will be first class. If you are staying on campus you should be fine as the accommodation is brand new and you have facilities like Bars cafes and a shop on hand. It also has direct access to a beach.

The big problem is it is about 2 and 1/2 miles from the City Centre and further to Singleton Park where most of the sports facilities are held like athletics track, indoor pool and sports fields. My understanding is there are sports facilities on the Bay campus but these are not. There is a bus service running directly between campuses and students from Singleton will also use this for concerts at the Great Hall on the Bay.

The other slight problem is that the Bay has very little accommodation near it other than the on campus accommodation. It is in Crymlyn Burrows which is a very small village so people either need to find housing in Port Tennant over a mile away or bus in from the city centre or its outskirts.

I hope this in some way helps and someone actually on the Bay Campus might be able to give you a better answer

Thank you very much for your reply, that has helped greatly! I'm going to go visit the campus soon which will definitely help!

Currently Studying Aerospace on Bay. I didn't get accomodation so currently live on the marina near the centre.
The campus is great (if a little windy) and offers great facilities along with being very clean.
The problem is where you live. If you're on campus you're paying about £130 a week for accomodation (which is really expensive) and most societies are on the other campus which is a half hour bus journey away as well as their only being a small tescos to buy food from outside the centre. Personally I'd suggest living near the centre in private accomodation. I'm paying £93 a week in GLC (private halls) which is a 3 minute walk from Tesco's, Saintsbury's, Lidl, and most of the main clubs. It's also only a 10-15 minute bus journey to either campus.
