I highly doubt anyone has actually tried doing this.

I wouldn't be surprised. People are actually that stupid and if anyone has tried it they really don't deserve technology.

I'm sure they're the same people who fell for this and broke their iPads by standing on them.

I'd personally just not buy an iPhone 7... and stick with the 6S if you need a new iPhone.
After all, the 6S has a headphone port... and if you want louder speakers, just plug the iPhone into a decent pair of external speakers!

Inbuilt phone/laptop speakers are never going to be any good, due to how small they are... so dropping the 3.5mm jack for an extra inbuilt speaker is not a good move! Just keep the 3.5mm jack in there.

Oh wait, how do I charge my iPhone 7 whilst listening to my music, using my 3.5mm headphones? Umm..... help?
